"Farewell Party"
"Good-Bye Japan" Today we enjoyed our last day together here at Katsuura. We finished our seminars this morning with presentations from the remaining groups. We learned many things about personal and social development that will help us in the future. This afternoon, we planted two trees here at Katsuura to remember our times here. It was a very special moment.
Tonight was our farewell party. We enjoyed many great performances, a wonderful dinner, a fun bingo game, and our favorite song, "We are the World." We were presented with certificates of participation in the World School 2000. We had a memorable time these past two weeks at World School. We have made many friendships here that we will always treasure.
On behalf of all the participants of World School, I would like to thank Mr. Matsudaira, Ms. Carol Vaughan, Ms. Reiko Sugaya, Mr. Daryoosh Matsudaira, all the faculty at Kanto International Senior High School, all the teachers of the participating schools, and all the staff and managers of Blueberry hill for making this all possible for us. We appreciate all the hard work you have put in to this effort in order to make our stay safe and comfortable.
